Siobhan Devine is a versatile and exciting director who brings a fresh eye to projects spanning drama, comedy and family.  Siobhan has directed over 60 episodes of a wide variety of shows including Netflix hit VIRGIN RIVER ; the CW/Global legal series FAMILY LAW ; CBC’S ALLEGIANCE ; and the SyFy show REGINALD THE VAMPIRE. She is also multi award-winning director of the CBC/Netflix comedy, KIM’S CONVENIENCE ; and as well has been a regular director on Hallmark fan favorites, CHESAPEAKE SHORES , and WHEN CALLS THE HEART. 

Siobhan’s feature debut, THE BIRDWATCHER, amassed international acclaim as a stylish and emotional film featuring incredible performances by some of Canada’s most talented actors.  She was recognized for her work on this film with several awards for Best Director. She has also directed several television movies including IMPERFECT HIGH and PROVIDENCE FALLS: AN IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. 

As the mother of two, she has a special place in her heart for working with children and has directed several shows for YTV, Netflix, Disney and Nickelodeon including the popular THE THUNDERMANS:UNDERCOVER and fan favorite SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. She was nominated for a DGC Award for Best Direction of a Children’s Show for GABBY DURAN AND THE UNSITTABLES and is pretty sure it was the talking sandwich that got her the nomination. 

Siobhan’s training in theatre, earning her both undergraduate and graduate degrees, has given her a lifelong appreciation of great writing as well as a deep understanding of performance, all of which contribute to her authenticity as a storyteller.
